Building Damaris : Section 3 (4/7)
Section 3 is a basic zipper corset, using the short loop from the partially completed, section 2. Since this runs over a very large expanse of varied flesh, it is recommended that the zipper corset be built using a doubled over rope. This allows the construction to proceed from the narrowest part of the body, discouraging the rope from collapsing on itself during the wrapping.
Double the rope over and tie a lark’s head around the small loop from section 2.

Position the knot at the narrowest part of the body, split the lines and wrap one up and one down in the normal zipper pattern.

When the section is wrapped, tighten as usual by adjusting section 2’s rope.

Adjust the corset as needed, then feed the slack through the double-coin, pulling out through the running end of section 2.

Any tails from the rope or the bottom can be woven or tucked as necessary.

Next one can either complete sections 1 or 2, before moving on to section 4.
